The series follows eccentric scientist Rick Sanchez and his anxious grandson Morty as they travel between dimensions, distant planets and alternate realities.

What begins as another scientific experiment can quickly become a fight for survival — usually with consequences neither of them expected.

Behind the portals, aliens and impossible technology is a story about a deeply dysfunctional family. Rick's cynical view of existence constantly clashes with Morty's morality, while Summer, Beth and Jerry are increasingly drawn into the strange universe surrounding them.

By combining dark comedy, science fiction and absurd adventures, Rick and Morty explores ideas about family, identity, free will and humanity's place in an apparently limitless universe.
